Women’s Tennis Opens Spring Season against Memphis, Kennesaw State

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB women's tennis team raises the curtain on the 2018 spring season Friday at 10 a.m. when the Blazers travel to Memphis, Tenn., to face Memphis.
UAB caps the weekend Sunday at 2 p.m. against Kennesaw State from George Ward Park. Free pizza and a prize court will be available for all fans in attendance.

Tjia Talk: "We are all really looking forward to getting the dual match season started. Memphis is an excellent program with a strong history of success in tennis. We haven't beaten them in some time, so we are really looking forward to this challenge. Both of our programs have a lot of new players and I am sure both teams will be both nervous and excited."

With a much warmer forecast for Sunday, I am hopeful to have a large and vocal Blazer crowd out there to enjoy the great tennis, free pizza and also try their tennis skill on our prize court."
