UAB Hosts Bama Beach Bash

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB women's golf team heads to the Alabama Gulf Coast this weekend to host the Bama Beach Bash at the Gulf Shores Golf Club.

UAB is coming off of a 14th place finish at the UNF Collegiate March 5-6. Juliana Sebastian led the Blazers with a tied for 43rd finish.

Maria Donado leads the Blazers in stroke average this season with a 75.2. The junior has four top-20 finishes this season and two top-five with three rounds at or under par.

The Blazers placed second in the inaugural Bama Beach Bash last season as Sydney Snodgrass fired a career-best 69 (-2) in the closing round and finish fourth as an individual.

Joining UAB this weekend in Gulf Shores is South Alabama, Georgia State, Southern Illinois, Alabama State, North Carolina A&T, Lipscomb, West Florida, Spring Hill, Union and two individuals from Samford.
