UAB Moves Up Two Spots in Final Round

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The UAB women's golf team rallied on the final day of the UNF Collegiate to move up two spots and finish 14th overall.

"Overall, today was better," head coach Kim Wilcox said. "We adjusted to the greens too. Kenna was solid today even after going in the hazard on the first hole. The tournament was excellent with a good field."

Juliana Sebastian finished in a tie for 43rd as the senior shot 79 (+7) in the final round. Kenna Hughes steadily improved throughout the tournament as she fired a team-best 75 (+3) on the closing 18 and finished tied for 55th.

Sydney Snodgrass repeated her round two total of 76 (+4) and finished tied for 61st. Kayla Wilbourn tied with Snodgrass after a finishing 77 (+5). Maria Donado shot a 79 (+7) and finished in a tie for 77th.

Old Dominion took home team honors, shooting an 864 (E) three-day team total. Jiwon Jeon of Dayton State won the individual crown with rounds of 66, 69 and 67 (-14) to defeat the closest competitor by eight strokes.
