BIRMINGHAM –The No. 19 UAB bowling team returns to action this weekend when it travels to O'Fallon, Ill. for the Bearcat Hammer Open hosted by McKendree.
The tournament will follow the traditional format with five Baker games on Friday, five Traditional games on Saturday and three best-of-seven bracket-round matches on Sunday.
"We are excited to return back to the Bearcat Open. It has been a few years since we attended this event, but McKendree is a powerhouse program, and they run a fantastic tournament," said coach Michelle Crews. "We had some highs and lows last weekend at the Allstate Sugar Bowl, but we learned a lot and will look to use all the new information we learned last week to have more consistency in O'Fallon."
UAB is one of seven ranked teams in the field this weekend, including No. 2 McKendree, No. 4 Nebraska, No. 10 Wisconsin-Whitewater, No. 12 Central Missouri, No. 13 Lincoln Memorial, and No. 18 Maryville.
