She paced the Blazers who shot +23 as a team, and only trail Bethune-Cookman (+9) and co-host South Alabama (+15) entering Saturday's second round. UAB made the most birdies of any team during the opening round with 11.
Senior Maria Donado is two shots behind Teiniketo as she's tied for 11th overall at +5. Donado played at the top of the leaderboard for the first 15 holes, but had some unlucky bounces down the stretch which dropped her from 2nd to 11th.

Freshman Lexie Dawson rounded out the Blazer contingency with a 12-over 84 and is tied for 38th.
The individual leader in the clubhouse is McNeese State's Riley Issac who is the only player under par at -1. She's followed by a pair of Bethune-Cookman players Sumie Francois (E) and Yudika Rodriguez (+1) who round out the top three.
