Women’s Golf to Co-Host Bama Beach Bash in Gulf Shores

GULF SHORES, Ala. – The UAB women's golf team is set to co-host the Bama Beach Bash this weekend, March 22-24, with South Alabama at Gulf Shores Golf Club.
The three-day tournament is set for one round per day, beginning on Friday morning and concluding Sunday afternoon. The par-72 course will play 6,002 yards.
Along with UAB and South Alabama, participating teams include Alabama State, Bethune-Cookman, Cincinnati, Henderson State, McNeese State, North Alabama, North Carolina A&T, North Dakota, Spring Hill, Union and West Florida.
UAB is paired with South Alabama and Bethune-Cookman in the opening round and will tee off starting at 8:30 a.m. Friday morning. The five Blazers competing this weekend are Tia Teiniketo, Maria Donado, Lexie Dawson, Kenna Hughes and Stephenie Fowler.
This is the third year of the Bama Beach Bash. The Blazers finished sixth at this event last year, and almost took the title two years ago with a second-place finish.
