Men’s Tennis Travels to Tennessee for Pair of Matches

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB men's tennis team returns to action this weekend as it heads to Tennessee to take on Conference USA opponent Middle Tennessee and Belmont on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
The match against the Blue Raiders is the third C-USA competition of the season for the Blazers (8-7, 1-1 C_USA), as they defeated Southern Miss, 4-1, at home on Feb. 3 before dropping an away match to Florida Atlantic on Mar. 16.
Freshman Michal Lusovsky leads the Green and Gold in singles victories with a, 8-2 mark on the year. Lusovsky leads the league in wins in the No. 4 position with an 8-0 record in that slot.
UAB boasts the No. 50-ranked doubles team in the country in Roman Postolka and Lusovsky. The tandem has an 8-1 record on the season in the No. 1 position.
Middle Tennessee (11-9, 1-0 C-USA) is tied for first place in the conference along with Florida Atlantic, while Belmont has an 8-8 record on the campaign.
Following this weekend, UAB is scheduled to compete in the Conference USA Shootout in Houston, Texas April 5-7.
