Volleyball Falls To UTSA

SAN ANTONIO- UAB Volleyball lost to UTSA Friday afternoon in the first of two matches versus the Roadrunners. The Blazers (7-8, 3-2) lost in three sets, 25-22, 25-19, and 25-23.
Alex Kells led the Blazers with 15 kills. Chloe Rodriguez tallied 4 blocks, and Lidya Canturk logged 20 assists. Alex Kells posted a .438 hitting percentage. The Roadrunners started fast and withstood a UAB rally to win set one, took set two with a flurry of scoring halfway through, and secured set three by coming out on top in a back and forth series of points between both teams.
Tomorrow, the Blazers will play UTSA again at 11 a.m. CT.
