BOCA RATON, Fla. – A goal by Southern Miss with three minutes left to play lead the Golden Eagles to a 2-1 victory over UAB in the Conference USA semifinals at the FAU Soccer Stadium.

Southern Miss (10-3-3, 4-1-3 C-USA) advances to face Old Dominion in the Championship game on Sunday. UAB's season concludes with a record of 7-9-3, 4-3-1 C-USA.

Morgan Halliwill opened the scoring for the Blazers in the 16th minute on a header from Lexxe Lipsey.

Southern Miss scored the equalizer in the 55th minute off a shot by Madisyn Flammia. In the 87th minute, the Golden Eagles sent the go-ahead goal in the back of net off a shot by Ariel Diaz

The Blazers out-shot Southern Miss 18-15 and 8-6 on goal. Junior goalkeeper Eve Beyer tied a season-high with four saves.

Asha Zuniga, Carlyn Presley and Lipsey all recorded three shots on the night. Presley led the team with two shots on goal.
