UGA quarterback Stetson Bennett threw five touchdown passes in the first half and the Bulldogs threw six overall. Bennett finished the game 9-of-11 for 279 yards.

Georgia did most of its damage through the air, compiling 376 of itsΒ 539 yards via the pass.

Keondre Swoopes provided the only points for UAB with a 61-yard pick six in the fourth quarter. UAB had 174 total yards of offense with 127 of them coming on the ground. Β

The Blazers trailed 21-0 after the opening quarter as Georgia scored on three of its first four possessions, including touchdown passes of 73 and 89 yards from Bennett to Jermaine Burton and Brock Bowers.
