BIRMINGHAM – The Blazers matched their season-high with four goals on Friday night at PNC Field in a 4-0 victory over Temple.
With the win UAB improved to 6-6-5, and 2-3-4 AAC, clinching a spot in the American Conference Tournament.
Jolie St Louis scored the first goal of the night for the Blazers in the 12th minute, tapping home a rebound off Avery Berryman's shot that deflected off the post for her fourth goal of the season.
Berryman was able to get on the board herself only a few minutes later, heading a cross from Lauren Lucero into the right side of the net to make it 2-0 for the Blazers.
Late in the first half, Izzy Passman had an impressive strike from well outside of the box to extend the UAB lead to 3-0. Sidney McGregor was credited with the assist.
The Blazers added another goal in the second half on Graycen Elliott's free kick from outside of the box. Her strike was too much for the keeper to handle, putting UAB ahead with a 4-0 lead.
UAB will take on top-seeded Memphis on Tuesday, October 31 at 10 a.m. CT in Lakewood Ranch, Florida in the first round of the American Conference Tournament.
