UAB Beach Volleyball Ties School Record with Win at Tulane

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB beach volleyball team (18-13) tied the single season school record for wins with a 4-1 victory over Tulane to conclude the regular season on Saturday in New Orleans.

Two other records fell against the Green Wave with UAB's Court 1 win as Arden Copping and Jasmine Haas defeated Trinity Jackson and Molly Trodd in three sets, 21-19, 14-21, 15-9.

With the win, Haas became the winningest Court 1 player in program history with 35 victories. Just a sophomore, Haas has tallied 35 of her 41 career wins on the top court and she surpassed Rachel Tam who had 34 victories from 2021-22.

Additionally, Copping and Haas improved their season record to 21-9 overall and the 21 wins are a new single season record for most wins by a pair. UAB's top duo has played every match together this season on Court 1 and broke the previous record of 20 which was held by Tam and Adriana Pereira back in 2022.

Against Tulane, the Blazers also picked up wins on courts two, three and five for the 4-1 victory. Jessica Ennis and Isabel Day tallied their 17th win together on Court 2, while Sadie Sharpe and Olivia Stant improved their record to 4-0 together with two wins today including a victory over No. 4 Cal Poly in UAB's first match of the day.

UAB now awaits its seeding for the Conference USA Tournament, which is set for next Thursday through Saturday, April 25-27, in Youngsville, Louisiana.
