UAB Men's Soccer Hosts NKU on Sunday for Pups on the Pitch

BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's soccer will look to continue its momentum against Northern Kentucky on Sunday afternoon. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. CT.
The match will be UAB's Pups on the Pitch match. Fans will receive UAB-themed dog bowls upon entry to the stadium.

SERIES HISTORY
The teams met for the first time to open the 2023 season and played to a 1-1 draw. Isaac Calderon scored the lone Blazer goal for the first of his collegiate career.
LAST TIME OUT FOR THE BLAZERS
The Blazers picked up their first win since October 14, 2022 on Tuesday night against Georgia State, 1-0. Isaac Calderon netted his first goal of the season in the 84th minute to win it for UAB.
SCOUTING THE NORSE
NKU holds a 0-2-1 record so far this season and they have scored two goals through three matches. Tyler Murphy and Nico Stoddart are the two goal scorers for NKU. The Norse opened the season with a 0-0 draw against Xavier before dropping a pair of 2-1 decisions to Bellarmine and Belmont.

UAB earned its first win of the David Lilly against Georgia State, snapping an eight-match losing streak. After going winless during the 2023 season, UAB quickly added its first under the new regime only two matches into the season.
RETURNING PRODUCTION
UAB's top three goalscorers from last season have all returned for the 2024 season in Gustavo Barbosa, Isaac Calderon and Humphrey Doh.
