UAB Men’s Soccer Travels to UNF

BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's soccer travels to North Florida on Friday to face off with the Ospreys. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. CT. The match was moved up to the afternoon due to impending weather in the area.
There will not be a stream due to the schedule alteration. Live stats will be available here.
SERIES HISTORY
UAB won the lone matchup between the two programs in 2010 by a score of 4-1.
LAST TIME OUT FOR THE BLAZERS
UAB finished with a 1-1 draw against Northern Kentucky on Sunday afternoon. The Blazers led 1-0 throughout the match after a Tony Kim PK goal, but a late PK was awarded to the Norse and they were able to convert for the draw.
SCOUTING THE OSPREYS
UNF enters Friday with a 1-1-2 record following a scoreless draw against Mercer in its last match. Jaxon Reinhardt leads the Ospreys with two goals on the season, both coming in a draw against South Carolina. UNF has scored five goals over their four matches.
MUNTEANU EARNS WEEKLY HONORS
UAB goalkeeper Jonathan Munteanu earned American Conference Goalkeeper of the Week honors on Sept. 2 for his performances against Georgia State and Northern Kentucky. Munteanu has not allowed an open play goal through three matches.
