UAB Scores 101 in Win Over Cleveland State

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB Men's Basketball team (8-4) beat Cleveland State (4-9) on Wednesday night in Bartow Arena 101-77. UAB was led by Chance Westry who had 31 points and six assists on 12-of-15 shooting. Three other Blazers were in triple figures including Evan Chatman (17) Daniel Rivera (17) and Ahmad Robinson (11).
Cleveland State was led by Chevalier Emery who scored 23 points and Dayan Nessah who scored 18.

- Ahmad Robinson scored his seventh point of the half at the 13:41 mark, giving UAB a 10-point lead [57-47].
- Evan Chatman went on a 12-point scoring run on his own with three shots made from behind the arc [73-59].
- Chance Westry took over the game in the second half when he went past two defenders and scored [82-64].
- Back-to-back dunks by Rivera and Westry extended UAB's lead to 22 with 6:16 to go [86-64].
- The Blazers went on to outscore the Vikings 15-13 to finish the game.
