Women’s Tennis Defeats Minnesota 4-2

BIRMINGHAM – UAB women's tennis picked up a 4-2 win over Minnesota on Saturday afternoon at the Hoover Met Tennis Center.
The Gophers took the doubles point on Courts 1 and 3 to start the match. Enya Ratkic and Mackenzie White were the only Blazers to win a double match on Court 2.

1. Mia Liepert/Anali Kocevar (MINN) def. Vanessa Mellynchuk/Klara Kajabova (UAB) 7-6(5)
2. Enya Ratkic/Mackenzie White (UAB) def. Sofia Pinto/Anlin Xie (MINN) 6-2
3. Arina Valitova/Aiva Schmitz (MINN) def. Kristyna Damaskova/Nera Tesankic (UAB) 6-4
The Blazers bounced back in singles taking four of the six courts. Vanessa Mellynchuk earned a three-set thriller on Court 1. Kristyna Damaskova also took a three-set win on Court 2, along with Enya Ratkic who recorded a victory in three sets. Mackenzie White registered straight set win on Court 4.
