No. 68 Women’s Tennis Defeats Georgia State 4-3 on Senior Day

BIRMINGHAM – No. 68 UAB women's tennis (6-4) picked up a 4-3 win over Georgia State (0-4) on Saturday afternoon at the Hoover Met Tennis Center.
The Panthers took the doubles point on Courts 2 and 3 to start the match. Klara Kajabova and Vanessa Mellynchuk were the only Blazers to win a doubles match on Court 1.

1. Klara Kajabova/Vanessa Mellynchuk (UAB) def. Francesca Miglio/Maria Paredes (GSU) 6-1
2. Luciana Galvez/Sara Radojevic (GSU) def. Enya Ratkic/Mackenzie White (UAB) 6-4
3. Zeynep Erbakan/Pragnya Kumar (GSU) def. Kristyna Damaskova/Nera Tesankic (UAB) 6-3
UAB bounced back in singles taking four of the six courts. Kristyna Damaskova earned a three-set thriller on Court 2. Kajabova claimed a straight set win on Court 3, as well as Enya Ratkic on Court 5. Nera Tesankic recorded a victory on Court 6 in straight sets.
