Women’s Tennis Takes Down Florida A&M 7-0

BIRMINGHAM – No. 68 UAB women's tennis (7-4) earned a 7-0 win over Florida A&M on Sunday afternoon at the Hoover Met Tennis Center.
The Blazers opened the match by taking the doubles point. Enya Ratkic and Mackenzie White secured a win on Court 2. Maria Paz Ospina and Nera Tesankic teamed up to take the victory on Court 3.

1. Klara Kajabova/Vanessa Mellynchuk (UAB) vs. Sara Rakim/Genesis Whitelock (FAMU) 5-3, unfinished
2. Enya Ratkic/Mackenzie White (UAB) def. Reagan Harris/Veronica Rodriguez (FAMU) 6-2
3. Maria Paz Ospina/Nera Tesankic (UAB) def. Susan Salinas/Larissa Silva (FAMU) 6-3
UAB was able to capture all six singles points to secure the 7-0 win. The Green and Gold went 2-0 on the weekend after defeating Georgia State 4-3 on Saturday.
