No. 68 Women’s Tennis Hosts Georgia State and Florida A&M

BIRMINGHAM – No. 68 UAB women's tennis (5-4) hosts Georgia State (0-3) for senior day on Saturday, February 22, then hosts Florida A&M (0-5) on Sunday, February 23. For both matches, first serve is set for 12 p.m. CT.
The senior ceremony will begin at 11:30 a.m. and the three seniors being recognized includes Vanessa Mellynchuk, Mackenzie White and Enya Ratkic. Fans will receive a free t-shirt and tacos.
The Blazers earned a 4-2 win against Minnesota last Saturday. The Gophers took the doubles point on Courts 1 and 3 to start the match. Ratkic and White were the only Blazers to win a doubles match on Court 2.
UAB bounced back in singles taking four of the six courts. Mellynchuk earned a three-set thriller on Court 1. Kristyna Damaskova also took a three-set win on Court 2, along with Ratkic who recorded a victory in three sets. White registered a straight set win on Court 4.
