UAB Travels to Tuscaloosa to Take on Alabama

BIRMINGHAM - UAB Baseball (19-17) travels to Tuscaloosa on Tuesday night to take on the 15th ranked Alabama Crimson Tide (28-9). The Blazers have won in Tuscaloosa in two of the last three seasons. The two teams have split the last six matchups.

The Blazers dropped two out of three games on the road at Tulane in New Orleans. UAB won the middle game of the series courtesy of Colin Daniel tossing seven innings and not allowing an earned run in the 4-1 victory over the Green Wave.
Alabama got the best of the Green and Gold at Regions Field on March 11. The Crimson Tide hit two 9th inning home runs to take home the win 6-3.

The Crimson Tide of Alabama are coming off a series in which they lost two of three games at home to Mississippi State. The Tide are led by sophomore shortstop Justin Lebron who is currently 1st nationally in RBI (58) and 5th nationally in home runs (15). Carson Ozmer ranks 2nd nationally in saves (11).
