Blazers Travel to Jacksonville on Tuesday

BIRMINGHAM - UAB Baseball (20-20) heads to Jacksonville on Tuesday to take on the JSU Gamecocks (23-16). First pitch from Rudy Abbott Field at Jim Case Stadium will be at 6 p.m. on ESPN+.

The Blazers dropped two out of three games at home to East Carolina over the weekend. UAB won the final game of the series 16-9. The Green and Gold blasted six home runs and tallied 21 hits on Saturday.
Jacksonville State beat the Blazers in Birmingham on March 25 by a score of 4-1. The UAB pitching staff struck out nine Gamecock hitters but were unable to overcome the early deficit.

JSU is coming off a series win at New Mexico State over the weekend. The Gamecocks took the first two games of the series while the Aggies took the final game of the series. Carson Hornung leads CUSA in walks (33) and Cooper Blauser ranks third in CUSA in doubles (15). Blauser is also third in the conference with 17 stolen bases.
