After Temple scored the first two points of the opening set, UAB responded with seven consecutive points to take an early lead. The Owls battled back to pull within one at 10-9, but kills from Mia Reese and Makayla Meister, along with a Temple attack error, helped the Blazers rebuild a five-point advantage. UAB closed the set strong, scoring five of the final six points to secure a 25-16 win.
The second set featured several lead changes before UAB seized momentum with a 5-0 run, highlighted by an Addyson Smock service ace and a kill from Rachel McCollum. The Blazers extended their lead to 18-11, but Temple answered with six straight points to make it a one-point set. UAB regrouped to claim three of the final four points, taking the set 25-22 and a 2-0 match lead.
Temple responded to an early 5-1 UAB run in the third set with six consecutive points to take a 7-5 advantage. The Blazers regained control and moved ahead 15-12 on a Sydney Austin kill. Kills from Kennedy Vaughn and McCollum fueled a 4-0 run that pushed UAB's lead to 19-13. Temple trimmed the deficit to two, but Reese answered with a kill before a Delaney Bowser service ace sealed the 25-21 set victory and completed the sweep.
Reese led the Blazers with 16 kills while hitting .324, while McCollum recorded a match-high 33 assists. Bowser paced UAB with 12 digs and added five service aces.
