BIRMINGHAM – UAB Baseball looks to finish a perfect 5-0 homestand on Tuesday as the Blazers host North Alabama at Young Memorial Field. The Blazers took down the Lions, 15-3 in Florence on February 17.

SCOUTING THE LIONS
Since the meeting in February, UNA is 10-13 overall and 2-9 on the road. Jackson Westmoreland leads the team with a .365 batting average. Petey Kraska leads the Lions with 31 hits. The Lions have shown their ability to hit as they have five qualified hitters with at least a .295 batting average. North Alabama currently sits in third in the ASUN Gold Division, just one game behind division leader Lipscomb. Among common opponents with UAB, the Lions lost to Jacksonville State on March 10, 8-3. RHP Hunter Bell will be making his first appearance of the season on Tuesday.
THINGS TO KNOW
- UAB is 15-4 this season at Young Memorial Field and winners of 12 of its last 13 at their friendly confines. With a win, UAB will clinch a 16-4 record at home for the sixth time in school history, which is tied for second best all-time at UAB.
- A win would also secure the third best home record in March ever (9-1), and the fourth-best overall month in school history (13-5).
- Head Coach Casey Dunn is one win shy of 650 career on-field wins.
- Max Price comes into Tuesday's game with a 6-game hit streak. Price hit his second walk-off home run of the season on Sunday to complete the sweep of Tulane.
- Wesley Helms and Kevin Hall Jr. each carry 5-game hit streaks into the matchup. Helms also has a team-high 15 game on-base streak.
- UAB has shown incredible offensive success at home this season. The Blazers have hit 42 of their 46 home runs at home and are averaging 9.16 runs per game at Young Memorial Field.
- Kevin Hall Jr. (.393) and Alex Dupuy (.390) lead the team in batting average at home this season.
- The UAB pitching staff had its best series of the season as the Blazers had a 4.00 ERA as a team across 27.0 innings pitched. Additionally, the pitchers held Tulane to a .216 batting average in the 3-game sweep.
