American Conference Weekly Honors: Chance Westry

BIRMINGHAM, ALA. - Chance Westry was named the American Conference Player of the Week for his performances against Charlotte and East Carolina last week. The Blazers went 2-0 winning both games to finish 11-7 in conference play and earned the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament.
Westry earned player of the week, starting off with 20 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds against Charlotte. Following that performance with 22 points, 11 assists, and four rebounds against East Carolina.
Westry was 14-of-15 from the free throw line, averaging 22 points, 11 assists, and six rebounds over the two-game span. He is averaging 15.7 points, 5.3 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game so far this season.
UAB is back in the conference tournament as a No. 4 seed on Friday at 12:00 p.m. when they face (5) Charlotte vs. (8) Memphis / (9) Tulane in Legacy Arena.

The pricing and allocation details are included here along with a timeline of important dates to know prior to the 2026-27 basketball season. Fans will select their specific ticket locations during the UAB Basketball priority seating and parking selection process which begins in July of 2026 following a June 30, 2026, basketball priority seat deadline.
