The American Announces UAB Men’s Basketball Conference Schedule

BIRMINGHAM – The American Conference released the UAB men's basketball conference schedule on Wednesday morning to round out the Blazers 2026-27 schedule.
UAB opens conference play in Bartow Arena on Dec. 30 against Tulane followed by East Carolina on Jan. 2 to begin the new year.
The Blazers first two road contest come when UAB travels to Temple on Jan. 5 and Wichita State on Jan. 8. Six days later, UAB hosts Florida Atlantic (Jan. 14) and Memphis (Jan. 17). The next five games the Blazers have four road contests with a home matchup in between. UAB starts on the road at East Carolina (Jan. 23) and Charlotte (Jan. 26). January ends when Temple travels to Bartow Arena on Jan. 31. To begin February, the Blazers hit the road to Tulsa (Feb. 4) and Memphis (Feb. 7).
Four days later, UAB returns to Birmingham to welcome North Texas on Feb. 11 and Charlotte on Feb. 14. After a week off, the Blazers will play on the road at South Florida (Feb. 21) and Rice (Feb. 25). UAB's last two home games of the season include Tulsa on Feb. 28 to end the month of February and UTSA on March 4. The Blazers close out the regular season on the road at Florida Atlantic on March 7.
The American Conference tournament is set for March 10-14 in Tampa, Fla., at the Yuengling Center. The Blazers are coming off their sixth straight 20-win season under head coach Andy Kennedy who has a 145-62 record with UAB. His 145 wins is the 15th-most in the country during that span.
