UAB 4x100 Team Highlights Day in Starkville

STARKVILLE – UAB Track & Field wrapped up its final regular season meet on Friday as the Blazers competed in the Maroon and White Tune Up hosted by Mississippi State.
The day was highlighted by the 4x100 Relay team placing first in their race. The quartet of Victory George, Jordan Dortch, Gabby Washington, and Leticia Quingostas finished with a time of 46.25.
Hope Foster finished third overall in the High Jump. Foster jumped to a mark of 1.60m, just .05m of tying for the overall win.
Foster also competed in the Javelin alongside teammate Hannah-Sophie Pippel. Pippel placed fourth with a mark of 29.05m while Foster finished fifth with a mark of 28.65m.
Madison Cameron finished in a tie for fifth in the Long Jump on Friday. The freshman's best mark of the day came in at 5.49m.
Jordyn Dortch had a very strong outing in the 200m. Dortch won Heat 4 and placed second overall in the event with a time of 23.83.
The Blazers wrap up their season in two weeks as they head to Denton, TX to compete in the American Conference Outdoor Championships hosted by North Texas. All meet schedules and information will be posted at a later date.
