UAB Basketball Sets Golf Tournament for September 16

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB Men's Basketball Golf Tournament is set for September 16 with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start at Highland Park Golf Course. All proceeds for the tournament will benefit the Competitive Excellence Fund – Men's Basketball. This fund supports efforts to recruit, retain, and develop UAB men's basketball student-athletes, helping UAB Athletics remain competitive at the highest level.
Breakfast begins at 8:00 a.m. and the practice range will open at 7:00 a.m. for those interested. Packages for the golf tournament are available to purchase here and are as follows:

The UAB men's basketball team has accumulated 145 wins since 2020, which is 15th nationally in college basketball. Under Coach Kennedy's guidance, the men's basketball program has played in the postseason four out of the last five seasons, including two NCAA Tournament appearances while also making two significant runs in the NIT Tournament. UAB finished the 2025-26 season with the third longest Division I road winning streak (W10) behind Michigan (W11) and Miami (OH) (W15). UAB finished 20-12 winning 20+ games for the 6th straight season.
