BIRMINGHAM β UAB offensive lineman Adam Lepkowski has been named to the 2026 Allstate Wuerffel Trophy Watch List, recognizing college football student-athletes who demonstrate a commitment to community service, leadership and making a positive impact beyond the field.
Lepkowski continues to earn preseason recognition entering the 2026 campaign after also being named First Team All-Conference by Athlon Sports and Second Team All-Conference by Phil Steele.
Established in 2005, the Wuerffel Trophy is presented annually to the FBS player who best combines exemplary community service with leadership achievement on and off the field. The award was the first major college football honor established specifically to recognize the character of service to others.
Lepkowski's inclusion on the preseason watch list recognizes his commitment to serving others while representing the UAB football program and the Birmingham community.
Named for 1996 Heisman Trophy winner, College Football Hall of Famer and humanitarian Danny Wuerffel, the award seeks to celebrate student-athletes who use their platform to positively impact those around them and inspire greater service in their communities.
The Wuerffel Trophy has recognized some of college football's most accomplished student-athletes since LSU's Rudy Niswanger became its inaugural recipient in 2005. Past winners include Tim Tebow (Florida), Sam Acho (Texas), Barrett Jones (Alabama), Matt Barkley (USC), Drue Tranquill (Notre Dame), Ladd McConkey (Georgia) and 2025 recipient Michael Taaffe (Texas).
The Wuerffel Trophy is a member of the National College Football Awards Association, which encompasses 24 of college football's most prestigious awards.
