American Conference Weekly Honors: Lucas Nordin

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Lucas Nordin earned American Conference Honorable Mention with his game-tying goal against Lipscomb last week.
UAB drew Lipscomb 1-1 to open the season Thursday night at PNC Field.
Nordin played 67 minutes off the bench and made an immediate impact, scoring UAB's lone goal of the night. The goal was an absolute beauty, as Gael Zackrisson laid the ball off to Nordin just inside the 18-yard box. Nordin then curled a right-footed shot into the upper-right corner of the goal to give the Blazers a point.
UAB returns to action Tuesday night when the Blazers host Georgia State at 7 p.m. at PNC Field.
