UAB Men's Hoops Rolls Past Tulane, 98-76

It was the Blazers' third straight victory and Tulane's third loss in its last four games.
Arnold keyed an 11-4 UAB run early in the second half with three consecutive three pointers as the Blazers erased an eight point Tulane lead and took a 58-57 lead with 16:20 to play.
The teams traded the lead twice more over the next three minutes, with Tulane leading for the final time at 62-61 with 15:25 to play. UAB would build as much as a 20-point lead down the stretch.
Three other UAB players scored in double figures, led by forward Eric Batchelor and center Will Campbell with 19 points each and forward David Walker with 16. Campbell and Walker each had "double-doubles," with 12 and 13 rebounds, respectively.
Point guard LeAndrew Bass had a career high 13 assists for UAB, one shy of tying the school record.
Guard Brandon Spann led Tulane with 24 points, 19 of which came in the first half. At one point, Spann hit four consecutive three-point attempts as the Green Wave cut a 10-point UAB lead to four over a two-minute stretch. Spann finished the first half four of five from three-point range, but UAB clamped down defensively in the second period, holding him to only one three-pointer in seven attempts.
Forwards LeDaryl Billingsley and Linton Johnson were the only other Tulane players in double figures, Billingsley with 13 and Johnson with 12. Billingsley led Tulane with seven rebounds.
