Kyana White Named UAB Student-Athlete Of The Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Kyana White, a sophomore on the Blazers track and field team, has been selected as the UAB Student-Athlete of the Week. This marks the first time she garnered the award.
A communications major with a 3.7 GPA, White received the C-USA Commissioner’s Academic Medal and was selected to the C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll in her rookie year as a Blazer.
The Kennesaw, Ga. native recorded a personal-best 25.79 in the 200 meters at the Birmingham Ice Breaker earlier this month.
White and the track and field team open the indoor season on Jan. 12 when they host the Blazer Invite at the state-of-the-art Birmingham CrossPlex.
