BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's basketball (13-7, 4-5 C-USA) hosts Louisiana Tech (11-9, 4-5 C-USA) on Thursday night at Bartow Arena. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. CT.
Thursday's game will be the Blazers' annual Mike Slive Foundation Block Cancer game. The players will be wearing "Block Cancer" t-shirts during warm ups and the coaches will be wearing pullovers in support of the Mike Slive Foundation.

It will also air on 100.5 ESPN JOX 2 with David Crane and Steve Mitchell.
SERIES HISTORY
UAB leads the all-time series 12-9 and the Blazers have won eight of the 10 meetings in Birmingham. UAB defeated the Bulldogs, 81-74, in this season's first matchup between the two teams. Eric Gaines led the Blazers with a career-high 22 points to help UAB close an eight-point deficit with less than five minutes to go. Thursday's contest will be the final meeting between the programs as Conference USA foes.

The Blazers fell at home to North Texas, 63-52, in their last contest. UAB struggled from the field, shooting only 36.2 percent. UAB went 1-for-10 from three in the game, marking the fewest three-pointers made by the Blazers since the 2020-21 season. Trey Jemison has been a force for the Blazers of late, averaging 14.0 points and 11.4 rebounds per game over the last five contests. He matched his previous career high of 17 points at FIU and then set his current career best of 18 points against Middle Tennessee. He has recorded a double-double in four of the last five games.
