LAST TIME OUT FOR THE BLAZERS
The Blazers fell to Memphis by a score of 2-0 on Saturday, snapping their seven-match unbeaten streak. The Tigers scored early and were able to hold on to the lead for the entirety of the match before putting it away with a goal in the final seconds.
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
The Panthers are led by forwards Bernardo Dos Santos Monteiro and Michael Appiah, who each have three goals on the year. Nigel Van Haveren has started all nine matches for FIU in goal this season.
SOPHOMORE SENSATIONS
UAB Sophomores have scored nine of the Blazers' 11 goals this season, led by Tony Kim and Lucas Rizzo with three goals each. Humphrey Doh, Isaac Calderon and Gui Gragnano each have scored one this season.
STRONG ON THE BACK LINE
The UAB defense has been strong throughout the 2024 season. Newcomers Chris McKenna, Mathis Richter, Ole Jessen and Simon Helt have added strength to the back line in addition to returner Gustavo Barbosa. Chris McKenna earned American Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors after UAB's shutout win over North Florida.
