Blazer Baseball is Back Home to Host Lindenwood

Lindenwood comes into the series after being swept by Murray State last weekend and dropping a midweek game to Southern Illinois. The Lions are 5-11 on the season. PJ Finigan leads the Lions into his first season at the helm, but second season with the team. Last season the Lions finished 13-42 with a 8-16 conference record. Dawson Hokuf leads the team with 13 RBIs on the year while batting .333.
UAB is coming off a midweek loss to Jacksonville State where they gave up 14 runs. The Blazers struggled hitting the ball with only three hits.
Nick Hollifield and Caden Long made their first appearances last night against Jacksonville State. Caden Long Pinch hit and got on base with a walk in the 6th inning. Nick Hollifield started the game at catcher, but was then replaced by Jake Smallwood.
UAB has seven guys hitting over .250 with a combined 66 total RBIs. Jake Smallwood continues to lead in batting average (.333) and is 2nd in RBIs with 14.
The Blazers have a series with Lindenwood this weekend and then a midweek with Troy, before starting conference play next weekend against Wichita State.
