Track & Field Goes New Heights at Tiger Track Classic

AUBURN – UAB Track and Field finished the Tiger Track with high marks across the track and field. The Blazers finished with multiple personal bests and a top 100 NCAA DI performance.
The Blazers started with a top-eight finish in the 100m hurdles from Laney Bishop, who finished seventh. Synai Jones and Taylor Washington also finished top ten in the event. In distance, Lia Castillo, Kathleen Schellman, and Katie Keur finished second, third, and fourth in the 1500m, all setting personal bests. Ava Brooks and Anna Behmer also finished with personal records in the event.
In relays, UAB finished third in the 4x100m relay, finishing with a No. 87 NCAA DI performance. Hannah Smith, Alayah Dozier, Jasmine Dereje, and Gabby Washington finished with a 45.63 to place themselves sixth all-time in program history and top eight in the American.
In jumps, Olivia Beard finished with a season-best performance in the high jump with a 1.58m. Trinity Fellows also finished with a season-best in Pole Vault with a 3.68m jump and seventh place finish.
