Men's Soccer Hosts Georgia State on Tuesday Night

BIRMINGHAM - UAB men's soccer is set to host Georgia State on Tuesday night at PNC Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT. The Blazers will look to pick up their first win of the David Lilly era against the Panthers.
The match will be the Blazers' Faculty and Staff Night. All Faculty and Staff can purchase discounted $3 tickets. Fans will also receive free UAB badge reels upon entry to PNC Field.

SERIES HISTORY
Georgia State leads the all-time series 14-9-1. The Panthers won last season's meeting, 5-1, in Atlanta. Isaac Calderon scored the lone goal for the Blazers. GSU has won each of the last five matches against the Blazers.
LAST TIME OUT FOR THE BLAZERS
The Blazers battled against No. 6 North Carolina in the season opener, but ultimately fell short, 1-0. The lone UNC goal was scored on a penalty kick and the Blazers outshot the Tar Heels, 8-6.
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
Georgia State played to a scoreless draw against Belmont in their first match of the season. They were outshot, 14-5, but did not concede a goal.
SOPHOMORE BREAKOUT CANDIDATES
Tony Kim was recognized by Top Drawer Soccer as a potential breakout candidate for the Blazers. He showed flashes of his skill during his first season on campus and will look to improve the Blazers' attack. Humphrey Doh is also entering his second season after scoring two goals in 2023.
NEW STAFF
New Head Coach David Lilly brought in three assistant coaches, including two from East Tennessee State in Kyle Findlay and former player Cole Hunter. Adam Reakes came to Birmingham after a season at Wofford where he faced ETSU in the SoCon.

The best way to catch all the action is by purchasing a Gold Card. Season tickets for all three sports can be purchased with the 2024-25 Gold Card.
