BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's soccer will close its Florida road trip on Monday with a match against Stetson. Kickoff is set for 10 a.m. CT.
Monday's contest will not be streamed. Live Stats will be available here.
SERIES HISTORY
The all-time series between the two sides is tied at 1-1. UAB won the first meeting in 2006 and the Hatters won the most recent matchup in 2015.
LAST TIME OUT FOR THE BLAZERS
UAB picked up its second win of the season on Friday at North Florida, 1-0. Tony Kim's goal in the first half proved to be the difference and the Blazer defense held on like it has all season to earn the victory. The win marked the Blazers' first road win since September 18, 2021.
SCOUTING THE OSPREYS
Stetson enters Monday with a 1-3 record on the season. The Hatters' lone win came against FIU during the second week of the season. Stetson also faced FAU, but the match was abandoned in the second half while the Hatters trailed 3-1. SU has scored five goals on the season with Maurice Hauser leading the way with two.
STRONG ON THE BACK LINE
The UAB defense has been strong throughout the 2024 season. Through four matches, opponents have still failed to score an open play goal. Newcomers Chris McKenna, Mathis Richter, Ole Jessen and Simon Helt have added strength to the back line in addition to returner Gustavo Barbosa.
KIM MAKING AN IMPACT
Tony Kim has two goals early in the season for the Blazers while providing a big impact in his second season in Birmingham.
