Softball Drops Game Two at UTSA

The Blazers had a 7-1 lead in the third inning before the Roadrunners exploded for 12 runs.
UAB started off the scoring with a Hope Tucker single which was her third RBI of the weekend. UTSA answered in the second inning on a sacrifice fly.
A total of 12 third inning runs were pushed across the plate. UAB started in the third with six runs on three hits and three UTSA errors. Hannah Miles and Lindsey Smith both hit two RBI home runs to start the inning off. Alyssa Aguilar then drives in her 13th RBI of the year on a single to left field. The last run was scored on an error by the UTSA second baseman. UTSA also scored six in the third inning on six hits with two doubles and a home run. The Blazers brought in another run in the fourth to give them an 8-7 lead.
The Roadrunners scored five in the fifth inning to take the lead for the first time 12-8. UAB gave up 15 hits while hitting the ball 10 total times. UTSA won the game 13-8.
UAB is still currently in seventh in the AAC standings just one game ahead of Tulsa. UTSA is still in 10th place one game back from Memphis.
UAB is back in action against UTSA against tomorrow for the rubber match at 1:00 p.m.
