BIRMINGHAM – UAB Baseball will play its seventh and final game against an SEC team this season as the Blazers play host to No. 6 Auburn at Regions Field on Tuesday night. To celebrate Cinco de Mayo, Tuesday's game promotion is 'It's Cinco Somewhere,' featuring $5 margaritas and 2 for $5 tacos.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Auburn currently has seven players hitting north of the .300 mark this season, and one player hitting .299, which aids its team batting average of .302. Auburn's pitching staff is the national leader in strikeout-to-walk ratio (4.09), WHIP (1.13) and walks allowed per 9.0 innings (2.62) while ranking second in ERA (3.36). Additionally, the Tigers have allowed more than five runs just once in the last 14 games. Tuesday's probable starter, Griffin Graves, will be making the third start of his career, all this season. Last season, Graves tossed three scoreless innings and struck out three against the Blazers in Auburn.

- The Blazers have powered their way to 67 home runs so far this season.The total is the BBCOR era school record, passing the previous record of 54 home runs set back in 2022, Casey Dunn's first season with the program. Additionally, the 67 home runs rank second all-time in a single season in program history.
- UAB has four players with 10+ stolen bases, tied for most in the league. The Blazers rank second in The American with 79 bags this season.
- UAB is one of two teams in the American Conference with five players registering 50 or more hits (Charlotte). The Green and Gold are also one of four teams in the league with four playing tallying 10 or more stolen bases.
- John Paul Head carries a 7-game hit streak into Tuesday. Over the weekend, Head hit his 17th home run of the season which is tied for fifth best in a single season in program history. Since returning from injury in early April, Head is hitting .339 and leads the team in total bases (36) and RBI (15) in that span.
- Wesley Helms has reached base safely in 33 of the last 34 games. Helms had a hit in 13 of his 15 games played in the month of April.
- Landon Beaver has a multi-hit game in five of his last eight games.
- Brooks House has thrown six straight scoreless innings across his last four outings, which includes two appearances against Alabama.
