Taylor Holmberg enters his third season at UAB and his first season as Director of Athletic Communications after being promoted to the position in June of 2025. He serves as the primary contact for the Blazers' men's basketball, men's soccer, men's tennis, and bowling teams.
Holmberg spent the 2024-25 athletic season as the Assistant Director of Communications serving as the primary contact for UAB volleyball, softball, and bowling teams. The year prior, he oversaw the day-to-day public relations for UAB Baseball after arriving in February of 2024.
Prior to arriving at UAB, Holmberg spent the 2023-24 athletic season at Birmingham-Southern where he served as the Assistant Director of Sports Information, before the university closed its doors in 2024.
Before his time in Birmingham, Holmberg was the Visiting Clubhouse Manager for the Montgomery Biscuits, the Double-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, in 2023.
Holmberg has four years of college soccer coaching experience, mostly coaching goalkeepers at the DII and NAIA levels.
Holmberg resides in Hoover with his wife Claire and his dog Philly.
