TAMPA, Fla.... The National Division leading South Florida Bulls (17-4, 10-1 in Conference USA) improved their winning streak to 10 games as they defeated UAB (5-18, 0-11 in C-USA) 15-9, 15-10, 15-4 in Conference USA volleyball action at the Corral.
The Blazers were led by sophomore outside hitter/setter Dina Katsoulis who posted 11 kills, seven assists, nine digs and three total blocks. Senior setter Heather Dempsey added 15 assists for UAB.
Sophomore outside hitter Michelle Collier posted a match-high 20 kills, hit for .302, had eight digs and two service aces for South Florida. Senior setter Melanie Mueller added a matchhigh 37 assists, had two service aces, nine digs and two total blocks for the Bulls.
UAB next travels to Houston for a C-USA match-up Sunday at 2 p.m.
