PHILADELPHIA (AP)- Rasual Butler scored a season-high 37 points to lead LaSalle to a come-from-behind 56-53 victory over the University of UAB on Saturday.
Butler, coming off back-to-back 32-point performances against Seton Hall and Drexel, scored 26 of his 37 points in the second half to help the Explorers overcome an eight-point halftime deficit and win their third consecutive game.
LaSalle (6-5) took its first lead of the game with only one minute remaining as Butler drove the lane, put in a layup, and drew the foul. He made the free throw to put LaSalle ahead, 52-50.
Butler is the first LaSalle player in at least four decades to score 30 points or more in four consecutive games, including his 30-point game against Rutgers.
Eric Bush scored 12 points and Will Campbell added 11 before fouling out to lead the Blazers.
UAB (5-6) has now lost five consecutive games outside of Birmingham.
