BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's basketball team plays its first game at Bartow in 28 days when it hosts Miles on Dec. 13 at 6 p.m.
UAB LATELY
UAB improved to 5-1 on the season after Margaret Whitley scored a season-high 21 points in a 71-58 victory over Western Carolina on Dec. 3.
MILES LATELY
Miles (5-2) saw its four-game win streak come to an end after falling to Savannah State 66-56 on Dec. 5.

All four meetings have been dominated by UAB, with the Blazers winning by an average of 41.9 points per game. The most points scored and largest win in Bartow Arena came against Miles on Dec. 28, 2016 when the Blazers defeated the Golden Bears by 58 points, 106-48.

American Athletic Conference officials announced that Charlotte, Florida Atlantic, UTSA, Rice and Texas San Antonio will join UAB as new members in the AAC and compete against current AAC members East Carolina, Memphis, Navy, USF, SMU, Temple, Tulane, Tulsa and Wichita State. The move will be official on July 1, 2023.
