Volleyball Heads to Florence for UNA Volleyball Classic

BIRMINGHAM - The UAB Volleyball team heads to North Alabama to play in the UNA Volleyball Classic on Friday. The Blazers will face off against Jacksonville State, North Alabama, and Arkansas State.
GAME TIMES
Friday: 1 p.m. vs Jacksonville State & 6 p.m. vs North Alabama
Saturday: 12 p.m. vs Arkansas State
SERIES HISTORY
North Alabama and UAB have met eight times in their history, with UAB the series all tied at eight. UAB won the last match up 3-1 back in 2019.
UAB holds a 16-6 record against in-state opponent Jacksonville State. The last match up was in 2019 when the Blazers beat Jacksonville State 3-1.
Arkansas State and UAB have met 11 times in their history, With the Blazers winning seven of those times. The last match up came back in 2013 when UAB beat Arkansas State in straight sets. UAB has won three in a row against the Redwolves.

Jorda Crook currently ranks third in the conference and 74th in the nation with a 0.378 hitting Percentage. Madison Page currently ranks third in the conference and 123rd in the nation in blocks per set with 1.17.
The last time we saw the Blazers was on Saturday when they won the Bellarmine Classic against IU Indy. UAB has played four sets in all of their games except for one (Alcorn State 3-0). We will see if that streak continues.
