BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's soccer hits the road on Tuesday to take on ACC foe Louisville. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. CT.

SERIES HISTORY
The Blazers lead the all-time series 10-1-3 over Louisville. The two programs have not met since 2004 when they were both in Conference USA.
LAST TIME OUT FOR THE BLAZERS
The Blazers secured their first AAC victory since 2022 on Saturday night against Florida Atlantic. UAB took a 2-0 first half lead behind goals from Tony Kim and Ole Jessen, but the Owls were able to tie it up in the second half. Mathias Love Groth came through in the final minutes to secure the 3-2 win for the Blazers with his first collegiate goal.
SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
Louisville has four players with multiple goals on the season, led by senior Sander Roed with three. The Cardinals have scored a goal in all seven matches this season. UL keeper Harvey Sellers ranks second in the ACC with 22 saves this season.
STRONG ON THE BACK LINE
The UAB defense has been strong throughout the 2024 season. Newcomers Chris McKenna, Mathis Richter, Ole Jessen and Simon Helt have added strength to the back line in addition to returner Gustavo Barbosa. Chris McKenna earned American Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors after UAB's shutout win over North Florida.
JESSEN NAMED FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Ole Jessen was named AAC Freshman of the Week after scoring his first collegiate goal in the Blazers' win over FAU.
UNBEATEN OVER LAST SIX MATCHES
UAB is unbeaten over its last six matches (3-0-3) for the first time since the 2011 season. The Blazers have already matched their most wins in a season since 2018.
