BIRMINGHAM – The UAB volleyball team returns to Hoover High School on Friday for its second meeting of the season with Memphis before hitting the road Sunday for a matchup with Tulane in New Orleans.
Admission to Friday's contest is free for UAB students, Gold Card holders and members of the Blazer Buddies Kids Club. Single-match tickets are $7 and are available exclusively through GoFan. Parking at Hoover High School is free, and concessions will be available for purchase.

A LOOK AHEAD
The Blazers will play their second consecutive home match Friday when they welcome Memphis to Hoover High School. The contest marks the second meeting between the teams in three matches, with UAB looking to avenge a 3-1 loss to the Tigers on Sept. 30.
UAB's first six home matches of the season are being played at Hoover High School while renovations to Bartow Arena are completed.
Following Friday's contest, the Blazers will close out the weekend on Sunday when they travel to New Orleans to take on Tulane.
SERIES HISTORY: MEMPHIS
Friday's matchup will be the 64th all-time meeting between UAB and Memphis, with the Tigers holding a 38-25 advantage in the series. Memphis leads 25-19 in conference meetings and 4-3 since the teams joined the American Conference.
The Tigers claimed the first meeting this season, earning a 3-1 victory in Memphis on Sept. 30. UAB last defeated Memphis in 2025, sweeping the season series with a 3-1 road win and a 3-0 victory at home.
The last time the losing team won more than one set in the series came in 2012, when UAB earned a 3-2 victory. Every meeting since has been decided by a 3-1 or 3-0 score.
SERIES HISTORY: TULANE
Sunday's matchup with Tulane will be the 40th all-time between the programs, with 37 of the previous 39 meetings coming as conference opponents. The Green Wave lead the series 24-15, including a 20-13 advantage in conference play, while UAB leads 3-2 in American Conference meetings.
The Blazers have won three straight against Tulane, including a sweep of the 2025 season series. Sunday will mark the first meeting between the teams this season.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Memphis enters Friday's matchup with a 6-9 overall record and a 1-3 mark in American Conference play. The Tigers' lone conference win came against UAB on Sept. 30.
Memphis closed the non-conference portion of its schedule with three straight victories, including a 3-0 sweep of Ole Miss. The Tigers opened conference play with three consecutive four-set matches before their most recent contest, a five-set loss to Tulane.
Senior outside hitter Caitlyn Little leads Memphis with 236 kills while hitting .239. Senior Amanda Hardt ranks second with 127 kills, followed by Arianna Mongare with 94 and freshman Kaylee Parker with 68.
Little also leads the Tigers with 4.07 kills and 4.67 points per set while adding 21 aces and 27 blocks. Senior setter Sydney Marshall has directed the Memphis offense with 536 assists, averaging 9.24 assists per set. Parker leads the Tigers at the net with 52.0 blocks, while Mongare has added 40.0 blocks and is hitting .252.
SCOUTING THE GREEN WAVE
Tulane enters the weekend with a 12-2 overall record and a perfect 4-0 mark in American Conference play. The Green Wave's two losses came against North Dakota State in five sets and Georgia in a three-set sweep.
Tulane has won eight straight matches heading into the weekend, with four of those victories coming by way of three-set sweeps. The Green Wave will host Charlotte on Friday before welcoming the Blazers to New Orleans on Sunday.
Tulane is hitting .288 as a team while averaging 13.85 kills and 12.40 assists per set. The Green Wave have also recorded 90 aces this season, averaging 1.73 per set.
Sophomore Lauryn Mack leads Tulane with 160 kills, while Chloe List ranks second with 132 kills and is hitting .240. Sophomore setter Charlee Solomon leads the offense with 540 assists, averaging 10.38 per set, while also contributing 67 kills and 17 aces. Riley Tucker leads the Green Wave with 56.0 blocks, while Maddy McLin has added 29.0 blocks.
