Previewing the Weekend at Troy

BIRMINGHAM – UAB Track & Field will be competing in the Doc Anderson Invite hosted by Troy this weekend.
Friday in Troy gets started at 11:15 a.m. as Hannah-Sophie Pippel competes in the Women's Heptathlon. Saturday at Troy begins at 10:30 a.m. with Laney Webb competing in the Women's Shot Put.
THE TROY FIELD
Along with Troy and UAB, other teams competing are Alabama State, Samford, South Alabama, and others.
THIS TIME LAST YEAR
In Troy, Victoria Freeland and Noelle Hambrick tied for second in the Pole Vault. The then-freshmen duo both vaulted to a mark of 3.65m.
Corinne Ball placed third in the Triple Jump with a mark of 12.03m. The mark stood as the 91st best jump in D1 last season.
Hope Foster finished tied for second in the High Jump. The now-sophomore jumped to a mark of 1.58m.
