LAST TIME OUT
- UAB earned an 81-69 victory over UTSA on Tuesday night at Bartow Arena.
- Molly Moffitt led the Blazers by recording 19 points against the Roadrunners. Cali Smallwood registered 15 points while Journey Armstead followed behind with 13 points. Eleecia Carter tallied 12 points and Monae' Duffy and Sofia Munoz recording 11 points each.
- For the first time under head coach Randy Norton, UAB had six players score in double figures.
- The Blazers 81 points was the most a team has scored against the Roadrunners this season.
- Moffitt recorded a career-high four assists on top of 19 points and going 8-for-14 from the field.
- Armstead had a career-high nine free throws, matched her season-high 13 points and two steals.
- UAB had 19 assists on the night with Munoz leading with seven. Carter totaled five, Moffitt had four and Armstead tallied two.
- Duffy led the Blazers with eight rebounds, four coming offensively and four defensively.
- The Blazers outscored UTSA 27-14 in the third quarter, turning a five-point halftime lead into an 18-point cushion.
- UAB shot 65 percent in the third and 75 percent from the three to push the lead.
- The Blazers 27 points in the third was the second most points UAB has scored in the third quarter this season (32 – at Murray State Nov. 22).
- The Green and Gold recorded 19 assists on 30 made field goals.
- UAB led for 27:24 of the game and built its largest lead at 21 points in the fourth quarter.
- UAB improved its shooting efficiency in every quarter, closing the game by going 9-for-12 at the free throw line.
- Eight of the 12 free throws in the fourth quarter were made by Armstead.
- The Blazers scored 38 points in the paint, 20 points off turnovers, 13 bench points and 11 fast break points.
- UAB's defense held the Roadrunners to shooting 41 percent from the field and 27 percent from the perimeter.
- The Blazers were 57 percent from the field, 43 percent from the three and 80 percent at the line. The Shockers shot 36 percent from the paint, 24 percent from the perimeter and 69 percent at the free throw line.
- The Green and Gold scored 30 points in the paint, 17 bench points, and 12 second chance points.
- UAB forced 11 Wichita State turnovers, scoring 16 points off them.
- Florida Atlantic is 9-13 on the season and 3-7 in conference play.
- The Owls fell 67-49 at North Texas last Saturday.
- Vivian Onugha leads FAU with 9.1 points per game, while Grace Carstensen is following behind by averaging 8.4. Haley Walker leads Florida Atlantic with 6.4 rebounds per game.
- The Blazers face Florida Atlantic for the 21st time in program history and the second time this season.
- UAB leads the series 15-5 and the Blazers are 7-2 when at FAU.
- The last matchup took place on Jan. 10, 2026, where the Owls earned a 70-63 win.
