Blazers Fall Short at Florida Atlantic

BOCA RATON, Fla. – UAB women's basketball (9-14, 2-9 American) fell at Florida Atlantic (10-13, 4-7 American) 68-63 on Saturday afternoon at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.
The Blazers had four players score in double figures with Molly Moffitt leading UAB by scoring 12 points. Cali Smallwood registered 11 points while Eleecia Carter and Sofia Munoz each tallied 10 points.
Florida Atlantic was led by Erin Rodgers with 25 points and Vivian Onugha totaled 10 points.

- The Blazers were able to answer back with a layup from Ashlyn Howard and a jumper at the buzzer from Munoz [33-24].

- Rosier converted at the free throw line during a key stretch [46-36].
- UAB outscored FAU 21-20 in the quarter to trim the deficit [53-45].
- The Blazers continued to chip away, including a fast-break three from Rosier to open the quarter [53-48].
- The Green and Gold cut the lead to single digits multiple times down the stretch [64-62].
- Florida Atlantic made a timely free throw to maintain separation [67-63].
- UAB closed strong but ran out of time and FAU earned the win [68-63].
